ANTIQUITIES: “Allspice | Michael Rakowitz & Ancient Cultures”

The Acropolis Museum reopens its temporary exhibition gallery, unveiling a compelling, multi-layered narrative that not only connects contemporary art with ancient civilizations but also addresses issues of loss, restoration, repatriation, and the preservation of cultural heritage. On May 12, the museum inaugurates the project “Allspice | Michael Rakowitz & Ancient Cultures”, curated by the museum’s General Director Professor Nikolaos Stampolidis and Elina Kountouri, Director of NEON. This marks the first part of a trilogy, realized in collaboration with NEON and the Hellenic Ministry of Culture.
